The Shrine of Aerishael

Once thought to be nothing but a Leng’gui research outpost studying the tragic destruction of the SS Thelema, the Haun’hai star system was the epicenter of a most curious event that seamlessly melded two timelines into one. Known as the “Haun’hai Incident” the events leading up to the modern state of this system are both extraordinary and wrapped in deep mysteries to this day. The safety quarantine of Haun’hai recently came to an end and while the moon of Gethsemane remains on lock down by Galatian authorities the tropical moon world of Miseo almost immediately became a get away destination for both academics and tourists alike because of two key locations there.

The Hybrid City of Crashton
On the coastline of the Mourning Reefs is an amazing hybrid city built out of the remains of enormous Galatian freighter, the SS Thelema. This hub for trade and scientific curiosity is the location of some of the most bizarre and magical phenomenon ranging from the impossible merging of eons old machines with modern structures to the classic wooden and bronze shops and docks filled with stories about “Time Echoes”, “Ghosts” and more. Although at one time run by a league of pirate traders, the sudden influx of opportunity brought on by the events of the “Haun’hai Incident” has completely transformed the local populace into a welcoming, merchant class filled with stories and amazing gadgets, gizmos and a culture all their own.

The Village of Aerishael
Situated on the Idyllic shores of Lake Pajon Gai this natural tourist wonder with its renown inn, Owiene’s Place, is a gorgeous getaway, complete with fishing and boating on the lake, camping and tours of key locations recorded in the publicly known events of the “Haun’hai Incident.”

Among the sites to see is the Percillion orchard which lies walking distance from Owiene’s Place. The main gateway to this orchard offers a small clue to events shrouded in mystery, a shrine with a single, small clock and a wooden book with a cryptic inscription in its pages. At the base of the clock, inscribed in the brick are the names, “Oliver & Mary” while the inscription in the ornate, wooden book is addressed simply to “Jonah” that reads as follows:

May this stone forever remember
What my heart forgot was within your eyes long ago
May scars on its surface of timber
Never be healed from what should not be pinned in shadow

You bore too much, struggled too little
But all these faults I failed to forgive until too late
One child stood between us, our middle
Until forces beyond us took him, let’s call them fate

Know this, my sweet man, as stone is set
Here on this place I forgave you too late, and I prayed
Oh Creator, ‘let not this stone forget’
That I sincerely wished with all of my heart that you stayed

May this stone forever remember
What I will never forget in sun, rain, harvest or snow
Scars on my heart will hold the ember
Of a love, of a heart I should have never let go
