Let me start by saying I’m not perfect. I do wrong things, make bad choices and although I sincerely want to be an agent for positive change, I am well acquainted with the trials, pains, challenges and heartaches of a life lived all wrong. This site, my hopes and prayers for everyone who visits, are that together with God’s help we can be reminded of what is good, what heals, what is wondrous, the beauty that HE made.

More than this I hope every visitor is encouraged to believe that if we turn from our failures, we can also turn around our life. Nothing here; not my guidelines, aims, goals or hopes is meant as an insult to others struggling as I did. We all come from darkness. Instead, this site is intended as a lighthouse – a signpost to steer us clear of past wrongs, and a call to action – Be Better.

My name is Jasen Ward and I have had one passion and multiple careers. I started as a Social Worker in the mid 1990’s where I learned a great deal about the needs of the elderly and the institutions that our modern world has put together to try to meet their needs. I specialized in the care of those residents of nursing facilities who had various forms of cognitive functional challenges such as Alzheimer’s Disease, Alcoholic Dementia, Senile Dementia, Stroke and many others. One learns compassion in a very visceral way through such experiences – some good, others tragic.

For the last twenty years I have worked in the IT industry where I have served as the IT Manager of one Architecture Firm an Engineering Firm and in my latest position a Food Equipment Distributor and Service Designer. This experience gave me a broad understanding of the needs of businesses to store information, manage complex tools and build integrated systems and processes. Through these positions I learned about large server environments, cloud architecture, software development and support cycles. All throughout this it was my responsibility to documenting the process, teach others and present sophisticated projects that implemented a wide variety of tools to partners, leaders and customers – all on modest budgets.

I appreciate these roles and the skills that I have learned along the way. My passion, however, has always been writing and creating. Whether that was to document the amazing lives of residents who could tell epic, real world stories of their harrowing adventures on high seas, creating websites from the ground up, writing complex ETL software or creating presentations and training materials that distill highly technical information for evaluation and deployment I have always written and created.

This site is the culmination of decades of notebooks, sketches, stories and numerous attempts to bring together entire civilizations that only ever lived in my imagination. Now, after the insistent support of friends and family, I have committed to put onto media all of this in one place. Years of God molding the clay of my life has brought me here and I pray that others may benefit from and enjoy the journey of my attempt to convey from a Christian perspective the marvel and wonder of God’s creation through a love for science fiction.
